Primary bathroom remodel with a double vanity and matte black fixtures in the Inland Empire

The quiet bookends of your day

Your bathroom holds the first ten minutes of your morning and the last ten of your night.

It's the room you're in when nobody's watching, and the one most likely to still be exactly as the builder left it.

Making it better isn't about square footage. It's about light, storage that actually holds what you use, and a shower you look forward to.

Ideas worth considering

Walk-in shower with frameless glass

The single change that most makes a bathroom feel larger and more open.

A dedicated grooming zone

Real task lighting and storage, kept separate from the shower area. That separation is what makes a room feel calm.

Sconces beside the mirror

More even and more flattering than a single fixture overhead.

Layered lighting with dimmers

Bright for mornings, soft at night.

A deep soaking tub

Where there's room for one and someone who'll use it.

Heated floors

A small comfort, most noticeable in the morning.

A tight palette, layered texture

Three or four colors, with warmth coming from stone, tile, and wood rather than contrast.

Niches and built-in storage

So nothing has to live on the counter.

What's included in a bathroom remodel

Tile and waterproofing, vanities and storage, showers and tubs, fixtures and fittings, lighting, ventilation, flooring, and layout changes where the space allows.

How long does a bathroom remodel take?

Most bathroom remodels take 4–8 weeks, depending on the size of the space.

Timelines shift with scope of work, permitting and inspection schedules, material lead times, change orders, and anything unforeseen we find once walls open.

We'll give you a realistic schedule for your project at the consultation.

What affects the cost

Cost follows scope, not square footage. The factors that move it most:

  • Size of the bathroom, and whether it's a primary, hall, or powder bath
  • Whether fixtures move
  • Tile selection and how much of the room is tiled
  • A custom tiled shower versus a prefabricated enclosure
  • Vanity, fixtures, and glass
  • Water damage or rot found during demolition — the most common surprise in bathroom work

You'll get a detailed, itemized estimate after the in-home consultation, so you can see where every dollar goes.

Should I convert my tub to a walk-in shower?

Often yes — but not always.

It usually makes sense when the tub goes unused, when the bathroom is a primary bath and there's another tub elsewhere in the house, or when accessibility matters now or will soon.

It's worth reconsidering if it's the only tub in the home. Buyers with young children look for one, and removing your last tub can narrow your market at resale.

We'll walk through your layout and your plans for the home and give you a straight answer.

Waterproofing and ventilation

These are the two things that decide whether a bathroom lasts, and they're both invisible when the job is done.

Grout is not waterproof. A shower needs a proper waterproofing assembly behind the tile — the substrate and membrane are what keep water out of the framing. Failures here don't show up for years, and then they show up expensively.

Ventilation is the other half. An undersized or unvented fan leaves moisture in the room, and moisture is how mold starts. Exhaust needs to be sized to the space and vented outside.

We don't cut corners on either. They're the parts you'll never see and the parts that determine whether your bathroom is still sound in fifteen years.

Do I need a permit?

Most bathroom remodels do, particularly anything involving plumbing, electrical, or structural work. California also sets water-efficiency requirements that affect fixture selection.

We handle permitting on projects that require it and coordinate inspections on your behalf.
